Davey, P., 2009: A species with a general distribution over England, Wales and eastern Scotland, the larva feeding on lichens growing on trees, shrubs, rocks, walls and fence posts. In Dorset, the moth is ubiquitous and common, and rises to abundant in unimproved grassland, but it is infrequent on open heathland.
