Davey, P., 2009: A local species in Britain, the larva feeding on birch (Betula spp.), bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), bog myrtle (Myrica gale), and heather (Erica spp.). In Dorset, the moth is common very locally in situations where bog myrtle occurs, chiefly in alder-swamps, bogs and marshes on sandy soil across the Poole basin.
