Davey, P., 2009: A species occurring throughout Britain, but more local further north, the larva feeding on common mallow (Malva sylvestris), marsh mallow (Althaea officinalis), and hollyhock (Alcea rosa). In Dorset, the moth is essentially a coastal species where it is local, and usually at low density.
